With 25 years of experience, Robin has trained hundreds of people with a wide range of needs. From service members preparing for evaluation and testing, to athletes from Ballet Idaho, pre- and post-natal women, or clients with knee and hip replacements seeking to improve strength, flexibility, and balance—Robin can handle just about anything.
Robin is especially good at helping people find a realistic way to approach exercise that isn’t “all or nothing”.
With long-term training consistency, clients develop balance between strength and flexibility. Ultimately, people feel better both physical and emotionally. With this type of long-term training, you will be relieved of the daily stress and guilt about not taking care of yourself.

The Details…
Robin started personal training in 1999 at Maliki’s Personal Training Centre, located downtown Boise. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, she and her husband moved to California where she continued her training career at 24 Hour Fitness in Santa Cruz.
In 2000 they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Robin spent three years personal training at Life Time Fitness (Plymouth location). During this time, she had her first and second children; Chloe and Wyatt.
In 2004, they moved back to Boise and Robin started her own personal training business (Tone Personal Training). In 2005, she had her third and last child; Suzanne. Over the course of 8 years, Robin expanded the personal training business into Tone Athletic Club, and added 10 more trainers. In 2010, she started an additional weight-loss focused business called Mind:Body Weight Loss.
In 2011, after shutting down the gym to move back to Minneapolis, Minnesota, Robin became a partner in a medical weight-loss clinic, Vivify Integrative Medicine. For this clinic, she educated patients and did physical evaluations such as metabolic and body-fat testing. She was also was a life coach—helping people address issues with emotional eating and negative body image. While there, she put her personal training career on hold, to write her first book (Weight-Loss Apocalypse) about the physiology of hunger and its impact on emotional eating.
With her husband’s job change in 2014, her family moved back to Boise, Idaho where Robin continued to consult on-line with her Mind:Body coaching business. It was at this time that her coaching expanded to helping adults who suffer with eating disorders.
In 2015, Robin began to outfit her garage with exercise equipment, and opened her garage gym to train a couple of clients from her previous business—Tone Personal Training. She spent the next 4 years writing a new book series, and in 2019, Robin published another 3 books about emotional eating and body image.
In 2020, more people reached out for personal training—especially since Covid-19 restrictions limited public gym access. During quarantine, Robin finished writing her final series of books, and with the publication of these books, she’s decided to open herself backup to a more rigorous personal training schedule.
In 2022 Robin became and adjunct professor for the Kinesiology department at Boise State University, and graduated with a Master of Science in Kinesiology in 2024. She has started her Phd program at BSU in Public and Population Health Leadership and will graduate in 2027.
